A special thank you goes out to the Over 17 Club for hosting an awesome Family and Friends picnic on June 18. Over 130 family members, residents, and staff attended the event held at the Camp America Day Camp. We transported 16 residents. We were treated to a day of fun activities including swimming, boating, and our own version of the game show Minute to Win It. DJ Herman, Matt Price’s brother-in-law, provided the music and did we have some good dancers in the group. (Mrs. Price said to say hi to everyone.) The food was scrumptious and never ending and the weather was perfect.
The Therapeutic Recreation Department would like to thank all of the staff for their support in making it happen. From the staff who attended the event to provide support, to the staff who assisted with the planning and the staff who ran around to make sure the residents were ready to go, thank you thank you thank you. To Pam and Amanda this could not have happened without you.
For those of you unable to make it, you Kenny Chesney fans, the Over 17 Club hopes to host it again next year. We will make sure to schedule it well in advance next year. For those of you who signed up and did not make it please be aware that the Over 17 Club sponsored and paid for the entire event based on the number of people who signed up. We hope that we can count on your support for future fund raising activities so that they can host this event again in the future.
The group is starting to plan for their Beef and Beer. We are looking to move the date to September or October. We are looking for more staff to be actively involved in the event so please see a member to volunteer.

Fox staff & family, the over 17 club is hosting a picnic for staff and family on June 18, 2011 at 12:00 PM. We will be serving hamburgers, hot dogs, and chicken. Bring a Dessert. There’ll be fun for the kids as well. If possible bring chairs for your family.

We are the members of the Over 17 Club @ Fox Subacute Center
We are walking in the MDA Muscle Walk to honor our friends Conan Deems and Matt Price. We lost them this year to this disease and their dream was for a cure to be found and to promote social networking opportunities for people with this disease.
The MDA Muscle Walk is the largest walk event funding research and services for people with any of more than 40 muscle-damaging diseases.
We are walking in the Muscle Walk because we want to do something meaningful this year. We chose MDA because a majority of our members have some form of muscular disease. We chose this walk because of the support that MDA provides to us. We chose this walk because we understand the importance of the camp program and the need to build social opportunities for older individuals who no longer go to camp.
Make your muscles work for something good! Please join us or make a secure donation to MDA.

Hey Stephaine, its Jenny. Just wanted to give you the info for the benefit show. It is November 6th from 11:30 a.m. until 2 a.m. @ Gallaghers Country Tavern in Spring City. We have 13 bands playing this year again and the music ranges from folk to metal to punk. We are going to be doing raffles prizes just to raise some extra money. There is a ramp at the back at the bar that I believe that guys will be able to get up into the bar. Gallaghers is super excited about having us back this year and we are hoping for a great turn out. Its 10 dollars all day to get in , if anyone asks. The guys will get in for free if they do decide to come. The bands this year are:

Hello everybody. We had one successful beef and beer it was jam packed with friends, family and residents. There were lots of winners and lots of fun. The 50/50 made it to $2300. I will post the winners of the wood works and the fishing trip. I will be posting photos of the event soon so keep your eyes open for them. I would also like to take the time to thank everybody that made it and those who made donations, we couldn’t have done it without you. We profited $5000. We had overall 200 guests.

The Over 17 Club will be holding their 3rd Annual Beef and Beer at the Knights of Columbus Hall in Warrington, PA on Friday, August 6, 2010, from 7 PM-11 PM. Tickets will be sold at the door and can be reserved ahead of time. They are $25 per person and include a catered buffet, drinks, DJ and dancing. Tickets for the basket auction will be sold at the door that night as well as tickets for a 50/50 raffle. The raffle tickets are also being sold in each of our buildings by Over 17 Club members if you would like to purchase them that way.
